⁂ Section III
Cookie Notice
A short, honest accounting of the cookies and browser storage Pivot uses — and an obvious place to change your mind.
What this covers
A “cookie” is a small piece of data a site stores in your browser. We use the term loosely here to also cover localStorage entries and similar mechanisms. This notice explains every category of storage Pivot uses and how to control them. It complements the Privacy Notice.
Strictly necessary
Set when you sign in or use the workspace. Without these the Service cannot work, so they do not require consent under the GDPR or the UK PECR. They are first-party.
- Session token (Convex Auth). Keeps you signed in. Cleared when you sign out.
- Theme preference. Remembers whether you prefer the light or dark almanac. Stored in
localStorage. - Cookie-consent record. Remembers the choice you made on the consent banner so we don’t ask again on every page. Stored in
localStorageunderpivot-cookie-consent.
Analytics (optional)
Set only if you accept analytics on the consent banner. They help us understand which parts of the workspace are used and where people get stuck. You can withdraw consent at any time using the controls below — doing so stops further collection and clears the analytics identifier in your browser.
- PostHog. Records page views, in-app events, and a randomly generated device identifier. We do not enable PostHog session recording or autocapture of form contents.
- Vercel Web Analytics. Aggregated, cookie-less performance metrics provided by our host. No identifier is stored in your browser.
Manage your choice
Your current choice is shown below. Change it any time — we’ll honour it from the next request.
⁂ Current choice
—Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings, and honour the “Global Privacy Control” signal. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
Changes
When we add or remove a category, we update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes also re-prompt the consent banner.
